Same as Before is an online platform where we restore and sell antique and vintage products while staying true to their nature.

We examine each piece meticulously and restore it in our own unique style and in accordance with its period. While performing the necessary maintenance and repairs, we take care to preserve the spirit and history of each product. Instead of erasing the traces left by time, we combine them with aesthetics and functionality and preserve their stories.

We carefully prepare detailed photographs and descriptions of each product we offer for sale. Before placing an order, you can examine the products carefully and contact us for any questions you may have.

If you are sensitive about perfection or if this is your first time buying a vintage product, we recommend that you read all the terms and conditions carefully and decide accordingly.

Warranty Conditions

Antique and vintage products offered for sale on the Same as Before platform are used and second-hand items. Therefore, the products are not covered by any warranty and do not have a specific warranty period. Due to the unique nature of antique products, traces of life, wear and tear and signs of natural aging that have formed over time are not considered defects. Such features are included in the nature and character of the product.

For purchased products;

No guarantee is given regarding the originality, age or lifespan of the goods.

No responsibility is accepted for problems arising from wear, deformation or usage errors that may occur after delivery of the products.

Before purchasing the product, we kindly request that you carefully examine the details stated in the descriptions and the product images.

ARTICLE 1 – Return Conditions and Exceptions:

In second-hand products you purchase from Sameasbefore.co, traces of time are natural. However, if the product has serious defects that affect its functionality, you can request a return within a limited period (3 days).

For second-hand products, aesthetic concerns are not a reason for return.

All products offered for sale are antique or second-hand, and the age, wear, patina, color changes and similar characteristics of such products are considered to be natural characteristics of the products and cannot be considered as defects.

Within the scope of the Consumer Protection Law (TKHK), requests for return or exchange are not accepted due to such situations, which are not considered defective goods and are considered natural characteristics of the products.

At the same time, if there is any damage caused by the use of the product by the consumer, returns or exchanges are not accepted.

According to Article 8 of the TKHK, no refund or exchange can be made in case of damages caused by the use of the consumer. However, according to Article 8 of the TKHK, if the product has a significant defect that prevents it from fulfilling its function (for example, a broken, fragmented or dysfunctional product), you can submit a written application to us within 3 business days from the date of delivery.

In addition, if the product itself is broken or missing, this is a physical feature of the product because it is antique or second-hand, and therefore returns are not accepted.

ARTICLE 2 – REFUND REQUEST AND COMMUNICATION

We would like to emphasize that, in your return request, you must provide detailed descriptions of the defect along with photos of the product. In addition, if the defects are obvious as soon as the product is opened, you must take photos directly and prove that the defect is not caused by you. Since our products carry traces of history, as we have stated before, their physical characteristics are not considered as defects.

ARTICLE 3 – RETURN PROCESS AND EVALUATION

Following receipt of your return request, it will be reviewed by our expert team and the necessary evaluation will be made. It will be examined whether the product is defective due to our fault and not due to its own physical characteristics.

If your return request is approved, return instructions will be sent to you.

Products to be returned must be properly packaged and protected to avoid damage during transportation.

In this case, all responsibility belongs to the buyer. Our company is not responsible for breakage and deterioration in the product during the return process.

ARTICLE 4 – RETURN SHIPPING AND FEES

Furniture and products delivered with special shipping vehicles should not be sent with cargo companies.

Shipping or transportation fees incurred during the return process are the responsibility of the customer.

ARTICLE 5 – PROCESS AFTER RETURN

The returned product will be checked by our expert team to ensure that it complies with the specified conditions and is undamaged.

If the product is found to be in compliance with the return conditions, the return process is carried out and the customer is notified. Once the return process is completed, the refund of the relevant amount is made within 3-7 business days.

ARTICLE 6 – LEGAL RIGHTS

For second-hand and antique products, the consumer does not have the legal right to return.

However, for defective products that fall outside the specified conditions, the consumer’s legal rights are reserved.

During the return process, sameasbefore.co RESERVES ALL LEGAL RIGHTS and respects all relevant legal rights and informs its customers about this.

ARTICLE 7 – LEGAL RIGHTS OF THE SELLER AND GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Flawless Goods Liability: The seller has the right to reject the return or exchange of products unless they are defective. In second-hand or antique products, the seller has the right to exclude the natural wear and tear and defects of the product from the category of defective goods by clearly stating these situations.
  • Burden of Proof: If the consumer claims defective goods, he/she must prove that the defect existed before the delivery date of the goods.
  • Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal: The consumer cannot exercise his right of withdrawal (even within the 14-day period) in the following cases:

  • Delivery and Passing of Risk: The seller cannot be held responsible for damage, loss or wear and tear that occurs after the product is delivered to the consumer. The consumer is obliged to inspect the product upon receipt and the seller is not responsible for problems that arise after delivery.
  • Right to Reject Defective Goods Claims Within a Reasonable Time: Consumers’ defective goods claims may be rejected if defects in the product are detected as a result of user error or improper use of the product by the consumer. For example, if the product has not been used in accordance with its intended use or manual, the consumer cannot request a return for this reason.
  • Sharing of Liability with Intermediaries and Manufacturers: The consumer’s demand can be met not only from the seller but also from the manufacturer or importer. The seller has the right to share the liability with the manufacturer or importer.
  • Exceptional Use of Antique and Exceptional Products: TKHK grants the right to clearly state in advance that the product has features that are not included in the scope of defective goods due to its nature (for example, antique products). If this situation is included in the contract, the consumer’s return and exchange request may be rejected.
  • Prevention of Unfair Return Requests: The Seller has the right to reject unjustified return and exchange requests. For example: If the product is requested to be returned even though it is not defective, or if the consumer has damaged the product voluntarily or opened its original packaging.

ARTICLE 8 – AUTHORITY TO REPRESENT REMOTE PURCHASE AND IMAGES

The product images in our store are representative and aim to reflect the general features of the products in the most accurate way. However, the displayed colors and tones may vary depending on external factors such as the screen settings, resolution and light conditions of the device used by the buyer. Therefore, we would like to emphasize that there may be differences in the colors and tones of the products from the screen. Since vintage products are historical and special pieces, such differences are considered normal within the scope of our sales conditions and returns or exchanges are not accepted for these reasons.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

The products you purchase will be delivered after the bank approval is received, if you have purchased additional shipping service, according to the dates you have determined and the availability of the shipping team. Please make an appointment for products to be picked up from our store.

Please make sure you enter your shipping address correctly when creating your membership.

Our company does not accept liability for problems that may arise due to incorrect delivery address entry.

If the product is damaged when you receive it due to any problems that may occur during transportation, ALWAYS ask the courier to draw up a damage report and contact us. Do not accept the damaged product and be sure to send it back to us with its invoice and damage report.
